Our readings are compared to 29CFR 1910.95. According to those regulations the legal limit for unprotected worker exposure must not exceed ninety decibels (90dB) for an 8 hour TWA or 140dB for impact noise. Management must also notify each employee who is exposed at or above 85dB for an 8 hour TWA about the results of the survey, and make available to all affected employees and their representatives a copy of the OSHA Occupational Noise Standard 1910.95, the survey results, and relevant medical information and audiometric test results.
